Helping spirits cross
I talk about in my “start here” page how I worked for many years in half empty or completely empty office buildings. One of the weird parts of being in corporate security is dealing with Spirits. I was thinking yesterday as I was walking through or “touring” an empty office building, “How does this happen?” where do these spirits come from?
They are definitely there; they seem to come. I do live in an area that is rich with underground water. One site is called “hidden springs,” and another is in the town of “spring house.” Orion Foxwood in his book “The Flame in the Cauldron” wrote “Rivers and streams follow spirits roads along the earth. Under all natural waterways is a spirit road.”* So, if waterways are underground highways for spirits that makes sense. Working in an area that has a lot of water, that makes sense that they would travel in that manner around.
It still didn’t feel right to me, I think it’s a bit deeper than that. I think spirits wonder after they pass if they are too scared or not ready to go with their psychopomp beings or have no spiritual system in place for what comes next. If someone passes and aren’t aware that they pass, perhaps suddenly without warning. They may not even realize they are dead; they may wonder for a while. Until they find other spirits that they connect with. Humans leave an extraordinary amount of energy at work, stress, anger, love, hate, happiness, etc. Think of all the emotions you feel when at work. These wondering beings are drawn to that because they feed off of energy. That is why they become stuck to us in the first place.
When someone like me, who is even remotely aware, can; see, sense, and feel them. These beings try to get their attention. This could manifest as; feeling as if you’re being watched, goosebumps, clairvoyance (images in your head), sounds, etc.
I have one small story from when I was out with an ex, who was a closet medium.
We had stopped for dinner on the way home from a weekend out. It was dead at they were getting ready to close, but allowed us to stop in really quick and get dinner. As we ate, I felt as if there was something on the balcony above us watching us. I didn’t say anything. After dinner we went out to the car and he turns to me and said “That place freaked me out I felt like there was something in the balcony watching us.” I said I had the same experience and we went on with our night.
I have had countless experiences like that, some of which still stick with me today. I always felt as if I didn’t have anything in my spiritual toolbox to deal with that. I mean what do you do? I asked them to move on but that never seemed to work. I felt like “What was the point in feeling this way if I can’t do anything about it.” After I learned compassionate depossession I had something in my toolbox that would allow me to work with these beings. I had a real connection with psychopomp guides who walk with me, many of which have been with me my entire life. They allow me to help those spirits I feel are ready to move on. Obviously because these beings are not attached to anyone, I don’t do things the same way that I do if they are attached to a person. However, the concept behind it is the same.
I am going to share my process with a caveat- if you’re not trained this may not go as you plan. Whatever you call forth you need to be sure you have at least one strong connection with a guide before you begin. This work isn’t a joke its serious, while I do not necessarily believe in demons, I do believe that there are bad people in the world and I believe in spirits can hurt you. Trust yourself – trust your helping spirits. If you’re not sure do not do it.
My steps for helping spirits cross over.
Recognize there is something that needs to cross over – this could be from a feeling, a psychic image, something actually asking for help.
Take a moment to check in with yourself and make sure it’s not your ego speaking or just your imagination.
Check in and make sure its within your rights to do this work. If this is someone’s house – unless they actively invite you to do it, don’t do it. Some people, shops etc. may want their resident spirits. Ask either the humans involved or the spirits they will tell you. Make sure you’re not acting from ego and trust what you get.
Call on your helping spirits – for me this is my main psychopomp guides including my body protector.
Merge with the divine essence of your body protector. If this is an animal you want to merge with the essence, it does you no good if you doing a shapeshifting session and not this work.
Determine where the portal is going to be. Sometimes the helping spirits will decide this but usually I look at the area with my psychic vision and that is how I determine where its going to be.
Tell your helping spirits what you would like to happen. Set the intention, and ask if the portal can be where you saw. Again, they may choose a different area.
Tell the spirits that this work is going to happen, if the time frame is different than ‘now’ tell them when.
Ask the helping spirits to start to prepare the spirits who are ready. They undergo a sort of energetic attunement to cross over.
The portal should start to open, other helping beings may come forward through the portal into the ‘waiting area.’ These helping spirits could be from other dimensions, loved ones who have crossed over, etc.
Sit there and narrate the work in your head or out loud if you can.
See them go into the portal and their helping spirits accompanying them.
See your helping spirits holding space, they could also be clearing you. Sometimes we accumulate energetic pieces from these beings that need to be cleared and need to go with those beings through the portal.
I always ask my helping spirits to make sure that everything that is ready to go has gone. Sometimes younger spirits may be afraid and not ready to cross, you can call on specific psychopomps to help them. Also, nature spirits may need you to call on specific beings from their realms to help them come through.
Check to make sure the portal is closing and closed after those beings have transitioned.
When the portal is completely closed thank your helping spirits.
Drink and eat something to replenish yourself, this is intense psychic work.
